Miller, a classically trained musician who founded his company in Boston in 1863 and later moved production to Wakefield, Massachusetts with his five sons under the name Henry F. Miller & Sons by the 1880s. These instruments were known for their rich, warm tone, balanced action, elegant cabinetry, and solid construction, which made them popular with concert pianists, teachers, and music lovers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Early models included upright, grand, and square pianos, and the company even produced “pedal pianos” equipped with full pedal boards for organ practice. Vintage Henry F.
