This beautiful 5’ 4” baby grand Wm Knabe piano is the official piano of the Metropolitan Opera. It comes to us from the Wm. Knabe & Company. Their grand pianos are known for their warm, lyrical tone and rich American piano heritage. Founded in 1837 in Baltimore, Maryland by Wilhelm (William) Knabe, the company quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality instruments that rivaled Steinway and Chickering in the 19th and early 20th centuries. This piano was made in Italy in 1912 and features an all hand carved cabinet. It was rebuilt in 2005 and comes with a free Prodigy I player unit. The package comes complete with a matching bench and a 5 year guarantee on parts and labor on the piano itself.
