INTRODUCING B Natural Pianos Music School
Contemporary Music Ensemble!
This is an exciting class available to kids who want to learn how to play in the band! ...and much more than just putting kids together and having them play basic rock tunes. We have a custom designed curriculum involving music theory, musicality, music history, technology and music business, and much more reasonable prices than most schools out there!
2018 Fall Semester: September 12th – December 12th
The Contemporary Music Ensemble will study and perform the music of a variety of genres from popular artists old and current. In the class, students will participate in weekly, supervised rehearsals while learning the traits, responsibilities and artistry of being in a band. The ensemble will work initially with our proven music curriculum with music charts provided by the instructor. Then, the students can have a chance to submit their own choices of songs to be learned. There will be focused discussions on the history of the artist in study and the stylistic approach required to execute the song. Students will learn to read music charts, play in tune, listen to their fellow band-mates and learn how to give and receive constructive criticism. Students are required to practice several times throughout the week and have the music rehearsed to the best of their ability before each practice. The ensemble will perform a thirty-minute concert at the end of the semester.
Our Professional Music Educators
Our teaching staff are graduates of the most prestigious music departments in the world, with Bachelor and Master’s degrees from; The Juilliard School, Mannes Conservatory of Music, Berklee School of Music, Westminster Choir College, Seton Hall, Rutgers University, William Paterson University, City University of NY, Eastern Kentucky University, Drew University and more.
Every week, we teach hundreds of private music lessons at our Music Academy setting, in our Rockaway, NJ music learning center. We take great pride in our wonderful staff of talented teachers who are well educated, in their instrument AND the art of teaching. We emphasize the magic of encouragement and the incredible sense of accomplishment a student experiences when they accomplish, what only weeks before, was not possible.
Many of our music educators are also well-established performers and can be found performing with the finest jazz ensembles, orchestras, churches and houses of worship and contemporary Pop and Rock bands throughout the NJ/NY/PA tri-state area.
B Natural Pianos & Music School Annual Student Recital
Every year we host an Annual Student Recital. This gives students the opportunity to prepare their favorite piece of music and perform in front of family, friends, their teacher and their peers. Students of all ages are eligible to participate in this annual event. The professional music educators at B Natural Music School make “performing” part of every lesson, so participants are comfortable and encouraged as they learn to demonstrate their newly acquired skills and musical abilities.
Very often teachers will accompany or play duets with students. Students and parents alike enjoy the full sound of the student playing a simple and beautiful melody accompanied by a professional. This makes for a fun environment, an enjoyable recital and it also teaches students how to play in concert with others, making for a better musician. Participation in Student Recitals is encouraged, but not required.
